The 26-year-old was with her sisters in Peckham when the collision occurred. Campbell stated that the rider abandoned the scene immediately upon seeing the ambulance approach. "She is badly injured but now at home," Campbell wrote on Instagram. "It could have been so much worse. We are incredibly lucky."

Police were present on-site and arrested the man immediately. Campbell commended the response: "The police were magnificent. I spoke to them when I arrived at 3.15, and he is now in custody."
