The Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) has announced the return of its gala dinner, scheduled for November at Liverpool's St George's Hall, building on the success of its inaugural 2025 event. The black-tie occasion forms part of the industry body's 85th anniversary celebrations and will bring together members, manufacturers, suppliers and sector leaders for an evening centred on networking and entertainment.

The gala will feature a welcome drinks reception followed by a three-course dinner, with entertainment hosted by industry journalist and online content creator Peter Haddock. Headline entertainment comes from England Rugby World Cup-winning captain Martin Johnson CBE and comedian Mick Miller, whose performances mark a significant draw for the evening's programme.

Steve Mulholland, Chief Executive of the CPA, stated that the inaugural gala "exceeded all expectations" and demonstrated strong demand within the sector for formal gatherings outside routine business operations. He highlighted that the 2026 event carries particular significance as it recognises more than eight decades of association activity supporting the plant-hire industry, while celebrating the relationships and enterprises that continue to shape the sector's direction.

Attendance options are now available through the CPA website, with tables of ten, half tables of five, and individual tickets offered for booking. The event represents a continuation of the association's efforts to strengthen professional connections within the construction plant-hire community while honouring its institutional heritage.
