Jason Bateman Returns to The Daily Show for First Time in a Decade

Actor and producer Jason Bateman is returning to The Daily Show for his first appearance in over a decade, sitting down with Jon Stewart Monday to discuss high-profile streaming projects including HBO's DTF St. Louis and Netflix's Black Rabbit. The episode marks a significant gap since his last visit to the Comedy Central program, which took place during Stewart's initial tenure as host.

The Daily Show This Week

Stewart handles hosting duties on Monday, welcoming Bateman as part of a rotating lineup across the week. Senior correspondent Michael Kosta takes over the anchor desk from Tuesday through Thursday, continuing his year-long hosting rotation on the program. This represents Kosta's fourth hosting week in the current season, following his previous stint during the week of April 20.

Kosta's week features an eclectic guest roster. On Tuesday, University of Rhode Island entomology professor Dr. Thomas Mather joins the show to discuss tick season awareness. Wednesday brings actor Chase Infiniti, who is promoting Hulu's The Testaments. Thursday's episode features bestselling author and animal advocate Beth Stern discussing her new children's book Coco and Stephen, Together Forever.

Production Schedule

The Daily Show is scheduled to produce four weeks of new episodes throughout the month before taking a planned break the week of June 29. Episodes air weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central and become available for streaming on Paramount+ the following day.
