Jason Durr's Television Background

Durr brings substantial television experience to the role. He spent seven years portraying detective Mark Bradley in the police drama Heartbeat, running from 1997 to 2003 before his character transferred to CID. Most recently, he played nurse David Hide on BBC medical drama Casualty, appearing in the show between 2016 and 2023, where he developed a notable partnership with the character of doctor Dylan Keogh.

Speaking about his EastEnders casting, Durr expressed enthusiasm about joining the long-running soap. He highlighted the warmth of his experience working with cast member Kellie Bright, who portrays Linda, and praised the generosity of the production team during his guest stint.
