England rugby union centre Joe Marchant married Hollie Shearer, daughter of former Newcastle manager Alan Shearer, in a ceremony held at The Royal Oak in Winchester. The 30-year-old Sale Sharks player and his 31-year-old bride, a social media influencer, became engaged in November 2024 and have been together since April 2022. Shearer, 55, returned to England from his broadcasting duties at the Women's World Cup final to witness the wedding celebration.

The Wedding and Celebrations

The couple exchanged vows at The Royal Oak, a historic pub in Winchester with parts dating back over a thousand years to 1002. Following the official ceremony, Marchant shared a selfie with his new wife outside the venue as celebrations continued. The couple's relationship progressed when Marchant left his position at Harlequins and joined Paris-based Stade Francais less than a year after the couple's romance became public.

Hollie, who maintains a significant social media presence with over 77,600 Instagram followers, had previously shared glimpses of her hen do celebrations. She documented pre-wedding festivities where she wore a white cut-out dress and matching bikini, along with a see-through skirt bearing "Mrs Marchant" across the back. Marchant's Rugby Career

Marchant, who plays as a centre for Sale Sharks, has represented England on 28 occasions, including seven appearances during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
