Luis Represas, the lead vocalist of Portuguese rock band Trovante, has died at age 69 after battling a prolonged illness. The musician's death was confirmed by his management agency, Sons em Transito. Represas had planned to commemorate 50 years of performing in 2026 with a series of concerts both with his longtime band and as a solo artist.

Represas built one of Portugal's most enduring musical careers, with songs including "Feiticeira," "Perdidamente," and "125 Azul" remaining embedded in the country's collective memory. President Jorge Sampaio invited Represas to accompany him on an official visit to East Timor-Leste, where he was subsequently honored with a medal from the Order of Timor-Leste by President Taur Matan Ruak.
