Van Heel, commonly known as Frankie, is a marketing executive and strategic branding specialist who has worked her way to senior positions in the energy sector. She currently holds a key role at Octopus Energy Generation and is involved with Be.EV, a Manchester-based electric vehicle charging network. According to professional profiles, she is fluent in three languages and has extensive international experience.

The pair met at Cambridge University while both studying English. Despite their connection, van Heel famously appeared on the television dating show Blind Date, selecting a contestant who later became a marketing director for the Conservative Party.
