Meaco's newly launched Cirro portable air conditioner range has sold out multiple times in rapid succession, with severe stock shortages expected to persist through late summer. The 12,000 BTU cooling-only model, which operates at just 45 decibels—twice as quiet as previous generations—has become the fastest-moving unit, despite repeated restocking attempts across major UK retailers.

Unprecedented Demand Outpaces Supply

The Cirro range, which debuted last month with six smart models spanning 12,000, 14,000, and 16,000 BTU capacities, has already exhausted inventory once following its initial launch. A restock scheduled for release on the Meaco website sold through within hours. Currys and AO expect to receive fresh shipments around 10 July, though Meaco has cautioned that exact availability dates remain uncertain.

According to the manufacturer, extreme heatwave conditions across the United Kingdom have triggered demand that vastly exceeds projections. Despite ordering 40 percent more inventory than the previous year, supplies continue to evaporate from shelves. The company has acknowledged that no further restocking of the cooling-only Cirro model will occur until 2027, while the dual heating and cooling variants will not be replenished until late September.
