King's Mechanical Reset

King took the mound carrying considerable pressure following a turbulent recent stretch. The right-hander addressed his performance head-on, acknowledging that he had drifted from his fundamental approach. "I was tired of getting beaten up out there," King explained after the game. "Got a little bit away from the mechanical feel and was just competing out there."

His sinker command, which had abandoned him in recent weeks, returned sharply against Atlanta. Manager Craig Stammen noted the improvement across King's repertoire. "He found his stuff tonight," Stammen said, pointing to the restored sinker command, effective changeup, and working sweeper.
