County Armagh typically hosts the largest gathering, while Belfast features the longest route, with participants walking more than 9.6 kilometres to reach the main field. The Rossnowlagh demonstration in County Donegal, held on the Saturday before the Twelfth, attracted approximately 6,000 attendees including supporters traveling from lodges across the border.

Orange Order leadership emphasizes that the parades represent unbroken traditions spanning 230 years. Grand Master Harold Henning described the gatherings as "a vibrant public expression of our identity, culture and heritage," with participants ranging from long-established members to younger generations entering the organization. Many participants join through marching bands before formalizing membership in lodges, creating pathways for cultural transmission across families and generations. The scale of this year's celebrations follows the traditional burning of loyalist bonfires across the region on multiple nights leading into the main parade dates. While most bonfires proceeded without significant controversy, isolated incidents drew attention, including the placement of a replica mosque structure on a bonfire in County Tyrone, which prompted police intervention. A fatality occurred when an individual fell from a bonfire in east Belfast, underscoring safety concerns during the extended celebration period.
