The shooting occurred at approximately 17:00 BST at a cafe located on Lodge Lane in Toxteth. Merseyside Police responded to the scene and began their initial investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Alan Nuttall condemned the action, emphasizing the severity of discharging a firearm in a public space where numerous bystanders were present.
