Will Best, the co-host of ITV's Big Brother and presenter of the Hits Radio Breakfast Show, has been announced as the sixth celebrity joining Strictly Come Dancing 2026. The broadcaster will compete when the dance competition returns this September on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Who Is Will Best?
With over 15 years of broadcasting experience, Best established his screen career as a presenter on T4, the youth-oriented music and entertainment channel. His television credits extend across multiple networks, including appearances on This Morning, BBC Three, and Viva. More recently, he demonstrated his knowledge and quick thinking by winning Celebrity Mastermind, selecting Danny Dyer as his specialist subject.
The 2026 Strictly Lineup Takes Shape
Best joins five previously confirmed celebrities for the new series. EastEnders actress Lacey Turner and former Love Island winner Dani Dyer were among the first announced, with Dyer competing after withdrawing from the 2025 season due to a training injury. Pop star Delta Goodrem, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, and Love Island champion Cach Mercer round out the current roster, with additional cast members expected to be revealed throughout the summer.

A new presenting trio of Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe will replace long-serving hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Additionally, six professional dancers are departing their resident roles, while the companion show It Takes Two undergoes revamping. Reports indicate the Strictly studio itself will receive a substantial makeover before the autumn premiere.
Best expressed enthusiasm about joining the competition despite his uncertainty about his dancing abilities. "I can't quite believe it… I'm doing Strictly! What an absolute dream. Albeit a pretty terrifying one," he stated. "I have no idea if I can actually dance, but bring on the sequins, bring on the quicksteps, bring on the dance floor! I'm going to try to enjoy every minute of it."
