Rather than compel athletes to wear uniforms they opposed, the club decided to forfeit the game entirely while maintaining the broader Pride Night celebration.

Team president and general manager Ben Shipley acknowledged the difficult situation, stating that he had requested tolerance from the roster but players remained unwilling to proceed. The team proceeded with other planned events at WellSpan Park, including on-field activities and entertainment, available free to attendees.
