The Announcement

During the August 2 performance, Brown took the stage before performing "Same Boat," his 2022 collaboration with the late Jimmy Buffett, to reveal the unexpected gift. "I'm buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat," Brown announced to the crowd. "This is the biggest giveaway in history, ladies and gentlemen, right here tonight at Fenway Park!"

The moment carried particular significance given the song's connection to Buffett, whose legacy inspired the partnership. A video tribute honoring Buffett preceded the announcement, with Brown teasing the crowd by noting the gift was "something that even Jimmy would say is crazy."

How the Giveaway Works

Each attendee received a code displayed on the venue's screens to claim their complimentary cruise for two passengers. Fans can redeem their vouchers on select Margaritaville at Sea sailings over the next twelve months. The cruise packages are being redeemed aboard two vessels: the existing Margaritaville at Sea fleet and the Beachcomber, which debuts in January 2027.

The Beachcomber will feature a live music venue called "Same Boat," designed in collaboration with Brown as a tribute to his work with Buffett. Throughout the ongoing 27-date Love & Fear tour, which runs through November, the band will continue awarding four additional cruises per show to select attendees, ensuring continued engagement with fans across multiple cities.

Record-Breaking Achievement

The Fenway Park performance marks a significant milestone for the band, which first performed at the iconic Boston baseball stadium in 2014. The 15 consecutive sold-out shows represent a venue record. Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea, commented on the partnership: "This was an extraordinary way to thank the fans who have supported him throughout his career, and we're proud to have helped make that incredible vision a once-in-a-lifetime reality."

In an interview with USA Today, Brown explained the motivation behind the generous gesture, stating he wanted to "show our dedication to them and give them something unique." The August 2 concert was livestreamed on nugs.net and broadcast live on SiriusXM's Radio Margaritaville, with the full performance available on demand.
