Actress Aubrey Plaza has finally found a buyer for her Los Angeles property after nearly twelve months of market challenges, multiple price cuts, and failed transactions. The 42-year-old is expecting her first child with partner Christopher Abbott and is due to give birth in the fall.

Plaza purchased the four-bedroom Los Angeles home in October 2022 for $4.7 million, initially listing it at $6.5 million. The property remained on the market for months without a successful closing, despite coming under offer several times. Each potential deal fell through before reaching completion.

By May, the home was delisted entirely, only to be relisted shortly after with a new agent, Carl Gambino of The Gambino Group at Compass, and a reduced asking price of $5.3 million. Plaza continued adjusting the asking price downward, eventually cutting it to $4.85 million. The property is now under contingent offer and in escrow, moving toward closing.

Personal Context and Timing

The timing of the sale holds particular significance. In January, Plaza's husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, died by suicide at the property. Eight months later, Plaza made the decision to list the home. She confirmed her pregnancy with Abbott in April, and sources described the expectancy as a "beautiful surprise" following what she described as an emotional year.

In recent weeks, Plaza shared images on social media showing her growing baby bump, expressing enthusiasm about motherhood during a podcast appearance. She noted that experiencing parenthood had always interested her.
