Four Men Die in Huyton Collision as Car Hits Lamp-post on Liverpool Road

Four men have been killed following a car collision in Huyton, Merseyside, after a black Seat Cupra left the road and struck a lamp-post. The incident occurred just before 2:00 AM on Liverpool Road, with a fifth occupant hospitalised in stable condition. The black Seat Cupra was travelling from Liverpool towards Knowsley when it veered off the road and collided with a lamp-post. The four men who died at the scene included two aged 23, one aged 24, and another aged 26. A 27-year-old passenger was transported to hospital and remains in a stable condition, according to Merseyside Police.

The collision prompted a significant emergency response, with two main roads—Liverpool Road and East Prescot Road—shut from the junction of Princess Drive and Finch Lane, alongside nine additional side roads. Authorities indicated that the closures would likely remain in place throughout the weekend as investigation work continues.
