The company plans to release four models—the base Pixel 11, Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold—with starting prices substantially higher than their predecessors, according to leaked retail information.

Google has officially confirmed the Made by Google event will take place at 6 p.m. ET on August 12 in New York City. The announcement will be broadcast live on YouTube, with new devices expected to reach retail shelves within a month following the official unveiling. This marks Google's standard annual refresh cycle for its flagship smartphone lineup.

Price Increases Across All Models

According to retail leaks, every model in the Pixel 11 series will cost more than its Pixel 10 counterpart. The base Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pro XL each carry a $100 price increase compared to last year's models. The most significant jump appears on the foldable device, with the Pixel 11 Pro Fold commanding a $400 premium over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. These increases reflect industry-wide component costs, particularly in memory pricing.

Design Innovation: Pixel Glow

The most visible change across all four devices involves a redesigned camera module featuring what Google calls Pixel Glow. Rather than the flat horizontal camera bar found on previous generations, this multi-colored light module integrates into the camera array to provide notifications when the phone is face-down. The system uses different light colors to alert users to incoming messages and other notifications without requiring them to look at the screen.

Marketing renders shared by leaker Evan Blass reveal the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will maintain a tall outer display and an 8-inch inner screen similar to its predecessor. The foldable device's back camera array has been redesigned to accommodate the new Pixel Glow system. Promotional materials also suggest new Pixel Buds and a refreshed Pixel Watch will debut alongside the phones, both appearing in an olive green colorway.
