Chelsea's recent interest in Palestra comes as the London club seeks a replacement following Marc Cucurella's departure to Real Madrid. Manchester City has also initiated contact with the player's representatives. However, according to his agent Lucci and the player's own position, Palestra's focus remains on Serie A and a move to Inter rather than relocating to England.

The Valuation Gap

The primary obstacle to the Inter-Atalanta transfer involves the fee. Inter has prepared an offer of approximately 45 million euros including performance bonuses, while Atalanta is seeking around 55 million euros. Despite this 10-million-euro difference, both clubs maintain a willingness to reach a settlement, though negotiations continue to develop.

Serie A Success and Alternative Options

Palestra earned recognition for his defensive performances during a loan spell at Cagliari in the previous season, receiving the award for Serie A's best defender. Inter's pursuit of Palestra reflects his proven capability in the Italian league.
