The McGuinnesses separated in July 2022, with their divorce finalised in October 2024. Originally, the couple planned to divide their assets by selling the family home and purchasing two separate properties. However, the mansion has remained unsold, forcing both parties to continue residing under one roof with their twins, Penelope and Leo, aged 13, and nine-year-old Felicity.

Rather than creating tension, the arrangement has proved surprisingly harmonious. Christine explained that the property's layout facilitates their situation, with Paddy occupying the top floor while she and the children remain below. She stated that publicly the house remains listed for sale, but privately the couple has increasingly discussed formalising their living agreement indefinitely.
