Pluribus Cast Shares Behind-the-Scenes Moments as Emmy Recognition Grows

Apple TV has released a behind-the-scenes blooper reel from Pluribus season one, providing audiences with comedic moments from the cast. The 90-second video arrives as the series continues gaining recognition following 18 Emmy nominations, marking significant success for the science-fiction drama on the streaming platform.

The blooper compilation features multiple cast members in unscripted moments that contrast sharply with the show's darker tone. Rhea Seehorn, who plays protagonist Carol Sturka, appears struggling with practical challenges on set—attempting to unlock handcuffs, managing a bottle of Gatorade, and dealing with foam on her face during filming. Supporting cast members including Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, and Samba Schutte are also featured, with Vesga shown falling during jungle scenes and Schutte having missing food props.

Emmy Recognition and Production Impact

Seehorn earned her first lead Emmy nomination for the role, following previous recognition for supporting work on Better Call Saul. She has already won the Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards for playing Carol, a misanthropic fantasy author who survives a worldwide happiness virus. The show's ensemble cast received multiple acting nominations, while showrunner Vince Gilligan secured three producing, directing, and writing bids. Scripts are still being written, with production not yet beginning. According to production updates, filming may commence by late 2026 or early 2027, with the showrunner indicating the series will not follow an annual release schedule.
