A 13-year-old boy has died following a collision involving two vehicles on the M4 motorway in Wiltshire. The crash occurred Saturday at approximately 20:00 between junctions 16 (Swindon) and 17 (Chippenham) on the westbound carriageway. A second passenger, an adult woman, remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

Collision Details
The crash involved a Toyota RAV-4 and a Renault van. According to Wiltshire Police, the teenager was a passenger in the Toyota at the time of impact. A woman who was also traveling in the Toyota sustained serious injuries and received hospital treatment. Both drivers, from the van and the car respectively, were not seriously harmed in the incident.
Emergency services responded immediately to the scene. The westbound carriageway was closed following the collision, while the eastbound side was halted for approximately two hours to allow air ambulances access to the location. National Highways confirmed that all lanes reopened in both directions between the two junctions after emergency operations concluded.
