Fast & Furious 11, officially titled "Fast Forever," is not currently in production, despite actor and producer Vin Diesel's recent social media post that appeared to confirm filming had begun. The video showing Diesel on a garage set with Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger R/T was actually a promotional advertisement for the FIFA World Cup, which aired during a USA versus Belgium match.

Diesel's Instagram post had generated significant speculation among franchise fans. He captioned the footage by stating he was "on set" with "incredible crews working," and referenced three and a half years of effort to create "the most amazing finale." The implication that production was underway proved misleading, as the footage served an entirely different purpose.

Production Status and Script Development

The final installment of the Fast Saga remains in pre-production stages. Screenwriter Michael Lesslie, known for his work on the Hunger Games prequel, has been brought in to revise the script, which was previously handled by Aaron Rabin and Zach Dean. Director Louis Leterrier, who took over midstream on the previous film after Justin Lin's departure, is expected to return, though this has not been officially confirmed. The film carries a scheduled theatrical release date of March 17, 2028.
