However, when asked whether he would exchange his memorable halfway-line goal against Denmark last November—the strike that helped secure World Cup qualification—for a place in the knockout stages, his response was immediate.

"That moment wasn't just about me. It was about us getting here, and now that we are here, we want to do more. I would switch it in a minute," McLean stated.
