Tim Henman Presents Catherine's Three Peaks Challenge Achievement at Royal Event
Tim Henman was present as Catherine, Princess of Wales, completed the Three Peaks Challenge across three nations.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has completed the Three Peaks Challenge, summitting the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales within 24 hours to raise awareness and funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The 44-year-old was reunited with her family, including her husband the Prince of Wales and their three children, after finishing the final ascent on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in north Wales.
The Challenge and Purpose
The Three Peaks Challenge required Catherine to climb Scafell Pike in England's Lake District, Ben Nevis in Scotland, and Yr Wyddfa in Wales—all within a single 24-hour period. The princess undertook the physically demanding feat to honour the medical facility where she underwent cancer treatment following her diagnosis in 2024. She announced in early 2025 that she had entered remission, marking a significant milestone in her health journey.
Catherine described the challenge as "a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back." She also expressed her intention to "raise awareness for the deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare." The princess emphasized that each individual's experience differs, and ensuring comprehensive, whole-person care enables those living with cancer to manage their recovery in deeply personal ways.
Family Support and Celebration
Images released on social media captured the emotional reunion at the Welsh summit, showing Catherine with Prince George, Princess Charlotte (aged 11), and Prince Louis. Her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her brother James also joined the celebration, alongside a golden retriever. James Middleton posted on Instagram expressing how "incredibly proud" he was of his sister, recalling conversations they had held during her hospital stay about climbing mountains together and the healing power of nature for both body and mind.
In a tribute to the charity, Catherine stated that The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is "a place that holds great meaning for me and whose care and expertise are life changing for so many people." The princess thanked all those who supported the fundraising effort associated with her achievement.
